Abstrakt | | #The #article presents environmental factors within the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health, with more detail on products and technology. Emphasis is set on assistive technology and its effectiveness and influence on quality of life. Evidence-based practice enables professionals to select, plan and perform the most effective intervention for clients according to their personal preferences. In the last two decades, there has been very rapid development of assistive technologies, from simple to the most advanced in the form of so-called electronic aids to daily living (EADL), which help users to live more independently and to participate in meaningful occupations. In the remainder of the paper, articles providing evidence of effectiveness of electronic technology and its positive influence on quality of life are reviewed, which is important for increasing the funding of assistive technology.
