Abstrakt		The task of occupational health care is to provide the balance between occupational requests and psychophysiological abilities of workers with the use of specific diagnostic and therapeutic method. This is an interdisciplinary activity, the health aspects being interwinned with the technical ones at various levels of decision-making and implementing. The phenomenon of family phycician has placed the occupational medicine especially the one present in occupational health units of R Slovenia, in a dilemma about its identity. In the perspective a re-organization of occupational health care can be anticipated, supported by legislation which is now in progress and is based on international conventions and Eurepean examples. Specific occupational health care is reaiming to its original preventive mission and to practical enforcement of ergonomic concept.
