Abstrakt		In 15 white New Zealanad male rabbits kept in laboratory conditions of breeding, aged 6 months at the beginning of the trial macroscopic and microscopic properties of the semen were investigated. Using the artificial vagina 10 ejaculates were collected from each rabbit in one-week intervals. The mean semen volume without mucus was from 0.27 q 0.13 ml to 0.93 q 0.62 ml, the percent of progressively moving sperms was from 71.00 q 5.83 to 76.67 q 4.71 per cent pH values in the range from 7.32 q 0.25 to 8.01 q 0.11. Semen density was in the range from 0.213 q 0.093 to 0.370 q 0.145 x 106 sperms per mm3, the total number 0.056 q 0.039 to 0.255 q 0.197 x 10 9 sperms. The percent of morphologically changed sperms was from 12.60 q 2.33 per cent to 18.20 q 6.27 per cent. The results indicate that in laboratoary conditions of breeding white New Zealand male rabbits become sexually mature in the age from 6.5 do 7 months.
