Abstrakt		The experiment was performed in 5 haflinger stallions 25 months old and 5 cold-blooded slovenian stallions at the age of 26 months. From each stallion 20 ejaculates were taken before castration. Measurements of testes and histological slices of testical tissue were made. The average amount of sperm in haflinger stallions was 32.86 ml and in slovenian cold-blooded stallions 37.75 ml. Sperm density in haflinger stallions was 0.12 x 10 to power 6/mm3 and in cold-blooded stallions 0.02 x 10 to power6/mm3, while sperm motility in haflinger was 60.90 per cent and in cold-blooded 65.35 per cent. The part of morfologically abnormal sperm in hatlinger achieved 40.98 per cent and cold-blooded 34.34 per cent. The average testes weight ranged from 150.66 to 170.56 g. The average portions of seminal tubes were between 71.68 and 73.76 per cent, of connective tissue between 18.22 and 21.30 per cent and of Leydig cells between 6.22 and 7.44 per cent.
