Abstrakt | The article represents a review of recent findings on the dynamics into which a student falls when starting out at university. The central themes are the identity crisis which can manifest itself - in crises of intimacy, dependence, work and creativity and decision-making - as a negative identity; disturbances in experiencing time, while its repercussions can be felt in the student's family as well; and stress as a reaction to the burdens the individual is faced with at the beginning oJstudies. All this can substantially intensify the common identity confusion, secondary separation in late adolescence and affect one's academic achievements later on. These are factors which should not be approached in isolation, since they are related interdependent and surpass the frameworks of cause-and-effect. | |
