Abstrakt     In the last two decades, the adequate nutrition has became a significant part of the treatment of critically ill patients. When planing the nutrition, one should consider daily energy requirements, the composition of nutrition and the way of feeding of the patient. Enteral, parenteral or mixed access can be employed. Enteral feeding has many advantages and should be used whenever posible. Monitoring of appropriate nutrition of patient and looking for possible complications of the nutrition is mandatory.
