| Abstrakt | Vaccination is the simplest, safest and most effective form of protection against viral diseases. The article describes the production and usage of the established human viral vaccines as well as the advantages and disadvantages of live versus dead viruses. Recent advances in the production of human viral vaccines which employ recombinant DNA technology and peptide synthesis are discussed in some detail. Finally, the current vaccination policy in Slovenia is also presented. | |
