Abstrakt		Surgical treatment of myopia is not a recent method as one might think. Today, many methods of surgical treatment exist of which radial keratotomy is the most common. Although the data of some American studies are encouraging, most ophtalmologists remain in doubt as to the justifiability of this procedure. Though rare, very serious complications have been described; and the success of the procedure depends on many factors and the outcome is only partially predictable.
