Abstrakt		In 20 patients (average age 70 +- 26 years) with postzster neuralgia paravertebral (9 patients), epidural (3 patients) and periperal (8 patients) blocks were carried out periodically with bupivacaine. Xylocaine, small doses of methodone and dexamethasone. In 6 patients peripheral neurolytic blocks were carried out with phenol or ammonium sulphate. Apart from the mentioned blocks, the patients also received transcutaneous nerve blocks (18 patients), anticonvulsives (16 patients) and antidepressants (11 patients). With regional blocks pain was temporarily (1-13 days eliminated or alleviated. It was established that in treatment of postzoster neurologia regional blocks are not of primary significance, they are, however, a support to other methods of treatment. Adequate pain treatment early in the acute phase of zoster disease and immediately afterwards, in the state of neuralgia, brings better therapeutic results.
