Abstrakt     An overview of our electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) investigation of the microgeography of membrane acetylcholinesterase (AChE) with a series of fluorophsphate and fluorophosphonate spin labels, selectively bound to the active site of the AChE in the membrane of Torpedo marmorata electric organ, is presented. The pocket-like structure of the enzyme, together with some dimensions of this pocket is described, as well as some changes in its structure which are the result of different influences. The pocket-like structure of the AChE active site obtained by EPR some years ago, corroboates recently published active site conformation obtained by the use of monoclonal antibodies and by X-ray crystallographic structure.
