Abstrakt		Ideology and orientation of curative medicine have proven their (im)possibility and outdatedness: contemporary health policy is stressing the importance of health promotion. Individualistic medicocentric curative approach is being replaced by the team work, interdisciplinary and intersector cooperation, and holistic approach, particularly in the field of health promotion and disease prevention. Health-friendly community policy is increasingly aware of significance of contemporary health determinants. The formation of programmes for health promotion is, in spite of certain difficulties and obstacles, becoming a health-policy challenge in Slovenia as well.
