Abstrakt		The importance of health protection of pupils was realised by Maribor doctors and teachers already at the beginning of 19th century. Organised health care, however, started in 1930 with the establishment of the School polyclinic, which developed into a highly organised preventive and curative health institution - health centre - after the 2nd World war. It was developed in accordance with medical science and children's needs. The success was evident. Our aim is continuing care for the young pupulation, especially in this sensible period when they need a warm home, friendly school, healthy environment and good health care.
