| Abstrakt | In Slovenia, screening for scoliosis has been well organised for many years and is carried out by school doctors and paediatricians. In spite of known factors affecting the progression of scoliosis (early appearance, child in growth phase, severity of scoliosis and others) and despite of small number of progressive scolioses, a constant and systematical follow up and detection of the spine deformations should not be renounced. The child with progressive scoliosis can not be identified at the first examination. Every affected child should, therefore, be followed in regular intervals till the end of his growth. | |
