Abstrakt		Modern imaging techniques - ultrasound (US), computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) - help to determine the diagnosis of the liver, bile ducts or pancreatic diseases. They also provide necessary information concerning the progress of the disease and help in estimating operability or planned interventions. Every imaging method has limitations and advantages which must be taken into account when deciding on the most appropriate for solving the individual clinical problem.
Izvleček		Sodobne slikovne metode - ultrazvočne (UZ), računalniško tomografske (CT) in magnetnoresonančne (MR) - tudi pri bolnikih z boleznijo jeter, žolčnih vodov in trebušne slinavke pripomorejo do diagnoze, do informacij o morebitnem širjenju bolezni, pomagajo pri ocenjevanju operabilnosti in pri odločanju o načrtovanju interventnega posega. Vse te slikovne metode imajo prednosti in omejitve, ki jih moramo upoštevati pri odločanju o tem, katera preiskava bo najustrezneje razjasnila in rešila klinični problem.
