| Abstrakt | The author presents the classification of jaw cysts proposed by the World Health Organization in 1992 and outlines the main characteristics of these lesions. For the most common types of odontogenic cysts, the basic epidemiological data, etiology, pathology and clinical signs are summarized. Guidelines for histopathologic examination of the cyst wall are presented. The advantages and disadvantages of extirpation and marsupialization are discussed. | |
