Abstrakt		Bruxism is a serious problem that is all too aften neglected by the dentist. Nocturnal and diurnal bruxism can cause serious damage to the stomatognathic system. It requires comprehensive care involving psychotherapeutic and prosthodontic measures. The active phase of treatment must be followed up by prolonged follow-up. On the basis of personal experience and literature reports, the author lists some subjective and objective causes for the development of bruxism, outlines its symptoms and consequences, and describes the use of prosthodontic methods in the management of this disorder.
