| Abstrakt | Cover dentures are removable appliances used for prosthetic correction of defects due to faulty development of the jaws and teeth. A cover denture can only be fabricated under the condition that adequate interocclusal space is available. The paper describes the case of a 17-year-old boy with a mixed dentition characterized by six retained deciduous teeth and aplasia of 14 permanent teeth. The patient's dental status did not permit treatment with fixed or combined prosthetics. By constructing a removable cover denture, we managed to preserve all the teeth in the upper jaw and achieved a very acceptable clinical result. | |
