| Abstrakt | | Different health problems which to-day prevail in medium developed and developed regions and concern for implementation and preservation of health and life quality extend the domain of epidemiology. Beside infectious diseases which still present an important medical problem, study of etiologic factors of different diseases and study of the occurence of chronic degenerative diseases, the epidemiologic principles and methods of work are being introduced also to completely new working domains, such as planning, follow-up of population health state, follow-up and ensuring of work quality, study of influences from working environment on the employed, and on the domain of forming health policy and through it also public policy. Such an extensive domain of work in epidemiology can be managed only with the collaborators, such as sociologists, psychologists, biologists, ecologists, statisticians and others. In this way the epidemiology asserts itself as a central science on the domain of primary prevention.
