Abstrakt		Over 200 helminthes can parasitize in many various phases of their development. There are no recent data concerning the infestation with helminthes in preschool children in Slovenia, therefore I tried to establish with a study the degree of infestation in preschool children included in collective care. 200 children from 2 to 6 years of age were included into the investigation. The eggs of A. lumbricoides, E. vermicularis, T. saginata, T. solium and T. trichura were searched for in feces and perianal swabs in the frame of microbiological investigations. Results. The share of infested children is significantly higher as is shown by results obtained with registering records. The most frequent among helminthiases is enterobiasis, followed by ascariasis. Other helminthiases have not been diagnosed.
