Abstrakt | | Standardisation is a key for a harmonised operation of information systems. The most important are data standards and data communication standards. Uniformed medical terminology, data definition, classification systems, coding schemes and data exchange protocols are necessary conditions for ensuring adequate information support for the health service. This support is the prerequise for the health service efficiency and quality. The programmes for ensuring of these conditions have to be based on an adequate user involvement, universality of data, international standards and directives.
