Abstrakt		Present conditions on the domain of postgraduate study in Republic of Slovenia are analysed and quoted possible consequences of the continuation of such a situation for further development of preventive sciences. Developmental aims on the domain of postgraduate education of cadres which collaborate at the implementation of epidemiologic, hygienic, sanitary ecologic and socio-medical activities are presented. A proposal for different forms of postgraduate study which interwine and complement is introduced. Besides, the significance of the education of collaborators who work on other domains in health services is stressed. Different forms of education which will render possible the knowledge transfer is demonstrated. Considering fast development of preventive activity and an accelerated employment of young collaborators in previous years, it is urgent that the postgraduate study become the number one priority in the present period.
