Abstrakt		Background. The development of antibodies to factor V111 or factor IX (inhibitor) is a serious complication of the treatment of patients with hemophilia. Methods and results. In 1995 we analysed retrospective data on 170 Slovene hemophiliacs. No hemophilia B patient has an inhibitor. The prevalence rate of the inhibitor in severe hemophilia A is 7 percent (4/57) and 2 percent (1/45) in moderate hemophilia A. All of them were previously treated with cryoprecipitate. The inhibitor developed between the ages of 2 to 25 years. 60 percent (3/5) of hemophilia A inhibitorpatients have low level and 40 percent (2/5) high level of the inhibitor. Conclusions. Patients with high level of the inhibitor are also high responders. Prevalence of the inhibitors remains the same after the introduction of intermediate and high purity factor VIl1-concentrates in 1991. No inhibitor patient died.
Izvleček		Izhodišča. Pojav protiteles (inhibitorjev) za F VIII oziroma F IX je resen zaplet zdravljenja bolnikov s hemofilijo. Metode in rezultati. V letu 1995 smo napravili retrospektivno analizo podatkov o 170 slovenskih hemofilikih. Nobeden od bolnikov s hemofilijo B nima inhibitorja. Pri hudi hemofiliji A je prevalenca inhibitorjev 7 odst. (4/57), pri srednje hudi pa 2 odst. (1/45). Vse smo pred nastankom inhibitorja že zdravili s krioprecipitatom. Inhibitor smo odkrili, ko so bili stari 2 do 25 let. Pri 60 odst. (3/5) bolnikov z inhibitorjem je raven inhibitorja velika, pri 40 odst. (2/5) pa majhna. Zaključki. Pri vseh bolnikih z veliko ravnijo se inhibitor po zdravljenju s krvnimi pripravki zelo zveča. Prevalenca inhibitorjev je ostala enaka tudi potem, ko smo l. 1991 začeli uporabljati pripravke srednje in visoke stopnje prečiščenosti. Nobeden od hemofilikov z inhibitorjem ni umrl.
