Abstrakt     Serum protein electrophoresis is a protein separating method based on their properties. Under the influence of electrical voltage, serum proteins are separated into six fractions, of which albumins represent the largest fraction and the remaining fractions are five types of globulins. Serum protein electrophoresis has clinical significance for identifying multiple myeloma and other serum protein disorders, and it also helps to identify morphologic changes in response to acute and chronic inflammation, various malignancies as well as liver and renal failure.
