Abstrakt		As European strategic aims "Health for all" issued by World Health Organization are valid also for Slovenia, we have to strengthen our strategy in health policy, according to which the primary health care means the foundation and basis of entire health care. Therefore the professional, cadre, organizational and financial strengthening of primary health care presents only the implementation of WHO European aims and our health policy, to which we should be dedicated not only declaratively but also actually. Private work surely presents an important strengthening and enrichment of the primary health care and of the entire system of health care and not the decomposition and abolition of Health Centres. The so called integrated preventive-curative centres of primary health care, known with us as Health Centres which use dispensary method of work with the combining of preventive, curative and socio-medical activity into an uniform system of primary health services, are by no means out of date but are more than ever becoming an up-to-date factor incorporated into the new concepts of health care which are primarily based on health, health strengthening and primary health care. It is probably not important whether they are national, private or combined property; it is important that they remain and fulfil their mission in a contemporary public health service and primary health care with its team and dispensary approach. Health care system cannot survive the fast and radical changes without damage. If it needs to be reformed and modernized it should be treated as an uniform system, which means that primary, secondary and tertiary subsystems have to be reformed at the same time, although carefully, gradually and without any big commotions. Therefore the institutions have to remain or become an amalgamating, professional and organizational body within all these subsystems.
