Abstrakt     Quality management is management in accordance with the demands of ISO 9000 standards. Nowadays health services are subject to standards, too. To them apply the following standard demands: ISO 9001 - management responsability (4.1.), quality system (4.2.) ts (4.3.), corrective and preventive measures (4.14.), quality records (4.16.), internal quality estimations (4.17.), training, education and motivation for quality (4.18.) and the application of statistical methods (4.20.) which assure a constant quality improvement with the diminishing of unadequate quality cases in accordance with the activities of Deming's circle (plan - act - check - take steps). Means, organization and cadres have to be ensured for the diminishing of unadequate quality cases. It demands financial means which are ranged among preventive costs for quality assurance. ISO 9002 ISO 9003 ISO 9004 - 2 ISO 1004.2 Total and competitive quality in its dynamic dimension demands a further development of strategies, systems and structures of quality management. This new challenge, however, demands new approaches. It could be answered only with a total quality strategy with the concept of Total Quality Management (TQM). Approach to the improvement of health services on the segment of laboratory activity, at the implementing of interdisciplinary tasks and as a base for coordinated activity is presented in the contribution. Some elements for the assertion of Total Quality Management model are quoted.
Izvleček     Poslovati kakovostno pomeni poslovati v skladu z zahtevami standardov ISO 9000. Danes so predmet standarda tudi zdravstvene storitve. Zanje veljajo zahteve standardov: ISO 9001 - odgovornost vodstva (4.1.), sistem kakovosti (4.2.), pregled pogodb (4.3.), korektivni in preventivni ukrepi (4,14.), zapisi o kakovosti (4.6.), interne presoje kakovosti (4.17), usposabljanje, izobraževanje in motivacija za kakovost (4.18.) ter uporaba statističnih metod (4.20.), ki zagotavljajo stalno izboljševanje kakovosti, z zmanjševanjem primerov neurstrezne kakovosti, skladno z aktivnostmi Demingovega kroga stezne kakovosti, skladno z aktivnostmi Deminovega kroga (planiraj - stori - preveri - ukrepaj). Za zmanjŠanje primerov neustrezne kakovosti moramo zagotoviti sredstva, organizacijo in kader. To zahteva denarna sredstva, ki jih uvrščamo med preventivne stroške za zagotavljanje kakovosti. ISO 9002 ISO 9003 ISO 9004-2 ISO 10004.2 Celovita in konkurenčna kakovost v svoji dinamični razsežnosti zahteva nadaljnji razvoj stretegij, sistemov in struktur upravljanja kakovosti. Ta novi izziv pa seveda zahteva nove pristope. Nanaj mogoče odgovoriti le s celovito streategijo kakovosti s konceptom celovitega upravljanja kakovosti (TQM - Total Quality Management). V prispevku je prikazan pristop k izboljŠevanju zdravstvenih storitev na segmentu laboratorijske dejavnosti pri izvajanju interdisciplinarnih nalog in podlaga za usklajevno delovanje. Navedeni so nekateri elementi za uveljavljanje modela celovitega upravljanja kakovosti.
