Abstrakt		The purpose of this research was to ascertain the relations between some motor and cognitive abilities of five year old children. The sample comprised 263 five year old children of both sexes from Maribor. The subjects were tested by psychological test TAZKOL and 29 motor tests. The computer processing of data was completed with the statistical pacage SPSS-x at the University Computing Center. The obtained results show that there is a positive correlation between motor and can be explained by the speed of information flow important in both activities. In a problem motor task, on the other hand, the correlation can be explained by the share of cognitive activities on solving the motor problem.
