Abstrakt		Recent changes in physicians' attitudes to the nomenclature of chronic viral hepatitis stem in part from the discovery of the hepatitis of the hepatitis C virus (HCV) and from realization that the course, prognosis and management depend more on the particular virus implicated (and on its state of replication than on the histological pattern at any one time.
