Abstrakt		With the development of information technology and the breakthrough of informatiyation, especially of personal computers into health activity, the question of information privacy and of personal data proteciton connected with the protection and guarding resp. safe personal data processing in health activity is becoming more and more present and urgent. The health workers are fully aware of this, being according to Hippocratic Oath commited to professional secrecy and ethics. As informatiyation advances with an irrepressible speed also into health activity, i.e. the processes, where intimate personal data are dealth with, health workers are justifiiably and well grounded concerned since so little attention is devoted to the sofety, protection and safe data processing. The very lack of understanding this danger and the absence of protection policy and safe data processing act as a braking momemnt for a more swift development of health information system. Author sees the problem solution in legal and sublegal solutions and in a claim after the introduction of a sufficient protection and guarding of personal data in favour of an individual at the realiyation of information privacy, consistent use of deontological-ethic principles, adaptation of computer support use to the demands of personal data safety and the abolishment of threats, sources of threats and dangers present at data processing in health activity.
