Abstrakt		Parallel to the great increasing of database number and enormous growing of user numbers, the database quality becomes critical point and the most important part of database pro-ducing. For improving database quality, the whose process must be evaluated and identified the critical sucess factors for beneficial changing not only one phase of the work, but of whole procedure, which is called total quality management. The first step in producing database is the decision about scintific field, which leads from consequent appointed colle-ction and selection of documents to do-cument analysis. The database must be produced by international standards. The records inside must include the minimal numbers of errors. The database quality dimensions are: accuracy, precision, com-pletness, consistency and comprehensiveness. The document analysis must be done update, with the greatest possible number records inside, without duplica-tions. The most important element in document processing is semantic analy-sis. The best is still the controled voca-bulary or thesaurus and use of corrects descriptors for indexing documents. The experiments with automatic indexing or methathesaurus is not successful compe-tititio with indexing. At last the eva-luation of database quality include the possibility of different ways in searching and the quality of printout. Usally the user numbers and their satisfacion ist the best idicator for database quality. The tests for database quality evaluation are described and also their validity and usefulness for ours databases.
