Abstrakt		The old computer system working on the great IBM computer of Razvojni center Celje was exchanged with a new one on January the 1st 1993. The year 1993 was the introducing period. SIBIS (specialists and hospital informa-tion system) is applied on Nowell net-ware with a central server 486, 50 MHz and on 153 working stations. Receipt of SIBIS took place in some fazes: a) sub-stitute of former handling, b) writing of ambulatory findings, c) transition in staff administration to write patient history with computer, d) linking of medical staff with medical services and para-medical services in the hospital, e) per-fection of some local medical domains with stingy scientific requests. The net-ware is closed to hospital. keeping con-fidential health records and personal records is done with physical protection, with password, controlling of outside dis-kettes on viruses, with daily tape storing and loading the tapes to a place dis-located from server. In the system there is possible to get promptly the data about performed work and for statistical data. Estimating the system with a 5 point scale we find 4 points as suitable.
