Abstrakt		In the following report we present our four-year experience with the use and delopment of the information system in the treatment of the information system in the treatment of patients with renal disease in the pre-dialysis period, as well as with patients on the renal replacement therapy with hemodialysis. The data-information system was introduced and developed in order to enable the dealing with variety of data and to ensure a greater amount of independence and creativity on part of the doctors. Laboratory data have proved a great help in the treatment of renal patients. It is for this reason that we started developing this data-processing program in the field of laboratory analysis. The data-processing in the laboratory includes four parts: definition of entities and relations (examinations, forms and attributes), the input of laboratory results according to our data, the display of data for specific analysis, e.i. for permanent and ad hoc groups of examinations, the transfer of data into other applications (or ex. Quattro Pro), the analysis of data (for ex. the search for tests with values within or out of the given interval). The new technology, the new discoveries, as well as the newly introduced approaches in the medical treatment go along with the new laboratory parameters (for ex. erithropoetin, PTH) The installed data-processing program enables the doctor to quickly and reliably define results of examinations and to establish relations within these results. The display of data is an important presumption towards prompt and efficient treatment. Finally we would like to outline our plans for the future. Within these plans we find it necessary to mention the direct transfer of data from the laboratory into the data-processing system. A development and completion of data programs for the data transfer into other application is intended.
