Abstrakt		Driving under the influence of alcohol is one of the most frequent and (most) dangerous violations of the traffic Safety Acts. The prosecute methods applied had, yet, failed to stop these drivers from recidivism. Standing regulations make possible, that recidivists get to an expert (repeated medical examination), but this rarely happens. An expert could identify alcoholics and nonalcoholics among the recidivists in driving under the influence of alcohol. Alcoholics are not able to drive motor vehicles until they had received a proper treatment. The recidivists, who are nonalcoholics, should be included into the reeducation programs. Some alternations of the valid statutory regulations would make the work in this field much more successful.
