Abstrakt		The report discusses the problem of postural stability in the elderly. It outlines the components involved in maintaining and posture. The report also introduces several tests of postural stability, among them the "Test of body sway". Although the test is qualitative, simple and inexpensive, further research is required to assess its clinical application.
