Abstrakt     Objective. To control the fluid dynamics by modification of the gravitation system for delivery of low viscosity fluid distending medium during operative hysteroscopy. Design. Description of the automated gravitational system Vario Flow for uterine distention during operative hysteroscopy and the performance of the first version in practive. Setting Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Ljubljana, January 1994 - June 1995. Interventions. The data on 88 various hysteroscopic operations is reported. Main results. We were always able to obtain good visualization and there were no immediate or early surgical and general complications. The data on the fluid deficit and on changes of glucose and sodium concentrations is reported. Conclusion. An automated gravitational system optimizes visualization during hysteroscopic operations and makes the fluid dynamics easily controllable.
