Abstrakt		The author describes the essence and process of periodic health examinations of pupils and adolescents in dispensaries for school-children and adolescents. The particular elements of the periodic health examination are presented: history, clinical examination, anthropometric measurements, laboratory investigations and health education. It is emphasized that periodic health examinations must inevitably be followed by statistical and professional analysis of the collected data, by a plan of appropriate measures, by the implementation of the latter and by an evaluation of the program.
