At intubation care must be taken about the cervical spine which should be immobilized also during transportation. Intravenous line must be installed. Hyper- or hypotension is symptomatically treated. Possibility of cerebral swelling or edema must be taken into account. Neurological examination has to be performed and treatment started according to GCS and the pres-ence of lateralization.
