Abstrakt		This contribution compares the findings of the famous otoligsts Politzer, Schmalz, Kiesselbach, Rohrer and Bezold on Weber, Rinne and Gello's tuning fork test. These tests are used more or less constantly during the author's everyday practice. The tuning fork is still a usefull instrument in examining the hearing function of the ear. On the wards or in the clinic current diagnostics are performed with modern equipment. The ftuning fork is an irreplaceable ambulatory tool for differential diagnostic evaluation of conductive or sensorineural hearing affection.
Izvleček		V prispevku so omenjeni izsledki znamenitih otolog Politzerja, Schmalza, Kiesselbacha, Rohrerja in Bezolda o Webrovi, Rinnejevi in Gellejevi preiskavi sluha. Le-te avtor uporablja v svoji vsakodnevni praksi. Glasbene vilice so še vedno uporaben instrument pri preiskavi sluha. Na oddelku ali kliniki se diagnostika danes odvija v avdiološkem centru z vsemi modernimi napravami za preiskavo sluha. Glasbene vilice so v ambulanti nenadomestljive za diferencialno diagnostično ocenitev prizadetosti prevodnega ali senzorinevralnega aparata. Iz prispevka lahko povzamemo, da številne novosti v diagnostiki naglušnosti pogosto izhajajo iz raziskav in odkritij preteklosti.
