| Abstrakt | Backgraund. Neural transplantation (grafting cells or tissue into the injured or diseased nervous system) entered the stage of clinical testing several years ago. However, numerous aspects of this promising treatment modality are still unexplored and insufficiently understood. Conclusions. The present paper offers a short historical overview and an outline of recent discoveries. It also points out the main problems of the field and states the goals of the future neural transplantation research. | |
