Abstrakt		Drug interactions can occur when two or more drugs are applied simultaneously. The consequence of an interaction is change in the effects of one or more drugs though these changes relatively rarely become clinically relevant. The mechanisms of drug inCeractions are complex and can be roughly divided in three groups: chemical (pharmaceutical), pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic interactions. In continuation, the interactions of 10 most frequently prescribed drugs in 1994 are dealt with and their mechanisms are shortly described.
