| Abstrakt | The effect of calcium antagonist felodipine on arterial blood pressure and heart rate were studied in normotensive and pithed rats and compared with that of verapamil and diltiazem. Intravenous administration of felodipine, diltiazem and verapamil induced decrease of arterial pressure in anesthetized normotensive rats. The hypotensive action of felodipine was greater and lasted longer in comparison with that of verapamil and diltiazem, and it was accompanied by moderate increase in heart rate. In pithed rats intravenous administration of felodipine, but not verapamil and diltiazem, produced periferal vasodilatation and hence reduction in arterial pressure. | |
