| Abstrakt | Lyme borreliosis is the most common tick borne disease in Slovenia. When the clinical picture is complete, which is an expection, the tick bite is followed by a skin lesion that may be followed by nerve and heart involvement, and later on usually by joint involvement. Eye as well as nerve and chronic skin involvement is also known. Treatment with antibiotics is usually successful, notably early during the disease. An effective and safe human vaccine has not benn developed yet. | |
