Abstrakt		Clinically applicable mathematical models were constructed in order to evaluate mechanical situations after various operative interventions on the hip. The biomecanical analysis inqluces deterination of the required and available abductor forces, determination of the hip joint contact force and stress distribution in the femoral neck, and determination of stress distribution on the hip joint articular surface in relation to pelvic shape, position of the greater trochanter and femoral head centre.
