Abstrakt		An investigation was carried on to study the ultrastructural aspects of the granulocytes of peripheral blood in the selacian fish "Scyliorhinus canicula". Blood samples from ten subjects were centrifuged to separate the corpuscular fraction. After fixation the obtained buffy coat was embedded in epoxy resins. The specimens were sectioned and observed with T.E.M.. The ultrastructural observations of the ultrathin sections allowed us to identify, besides neutrophil, eosinophil and basophil granulocytes, a fourth type of granulocyte of uncertain classification.
