Abstrakt		We investigated hematological parameters (E,Hb,PCV,MCV,L) in relation to time of day in 60 dairy cows at 3 farms. Samples were taken three times a day: at 6 am, at noon and 6 pm. Statistical appraisal of the results as well as graphic presentation was carried out. On the basis of investigation we have come to the conclusion that blood sampling within day did not influence the level of the listed hematological parameters significantly. Despite these findings, we have to be careful when interpreting E, PCV, and Hb results if the values are at the lowest physiological range. This stands for L and MCV values as well, when they are at the upper physiological range. Therefore, we recommend collection of blood samples which shall be used for interpretation of the MP-test before noon, between 9 am and 11 am.
