Abstrakt		The documentation of nursing care reflects its quality. The article defines the reasons for documenting respectively the purpose we try to achieve. The documentation needed for different areas of the work of nurses and nursing technicians - nursing care, health education, diagnostic-therapeutic program, telephone calls, reports of incidents - is presented in detail. Special attention is dedicated to confidentiality of such documentaion. The modern way of computer documenting is presented and its strong points and deficiencies are presented.
Izvleček		Dokumentacija zdravstvene nege je odsev kvalitete zdravstvene nege. Članek opredeljuje razloge za dokumentiranje oziroma namene, ki jih želimo s tem doseči. Podrobneje opredeluje dokumentacijo, ki je potrebna na različnih področjih delovnja medicinskih sester in zdravstvenih tehnikov, kot so zdravstvena nega, zdravstvena vzgoja, diagnostično terapevtski program, telefonski pogovori, opisi incidentov. Posebno pozornost posveča zaupnosti, ki jo mora biti deležna dokumentacija. Opisuje pa tudi aktualno računalniško dokumentiranje ter identificira prednosti in omanjkljivosti le-tega.
