Abstrakt		Dentistry is also among the activities that have experienced essential changes during the transitional period of health care system. For a more thorough analysis of this transitional period, information and data regarding health state of teeth and oral cavity, kind and intensity of risk factors, number and type of dental health care staff, acceptability and accessibility of dental services, expenses and effects of different preventive and curative dental activities, impacts of state, insurance and administrative institutions, standpoints, attitudes and expectations of users relating to oral health are needed. The materials and methods of the existing collection of data in dental services are presented in this article. Data presentation in this report, is but a documented insight into the situation of dental staff, attendance and work in dental health care through a longer period, but it enables, nevertheless, the analysis of the segment of dental health care, which is in the present contribution presented from the year 1980 to 1994. But for a thorough analysis of dental health care services, a specially prepared pilot surveys should be performed which would make possible a more qualitative insight into the work od dental services.
Izvleček		Med dejavnostmi, ki so v obdodju tranzicije sistema zdravstvenega varstva doživele bistvene spremembe, je tudi zobozdravstvo. Za poglobljeno analizo tranzicijskega obdobja potrebujemo informacije in podatke o zdravstvenem stanju zob in ustne votline, vrsti in intenziteti dejavnikov tveganja, številu in tipu zobozdravstvenih kadrov, sprejemljivosti in dostopnosti zobozdravstvenih storitev, stroških in učinkih različnih preventivnih in kurativnih zobozdravstvenih aktivnosti, vplivih državnih, zavarovalnih in administrativnih institucij, stališčih, naravnanosti in pričakovanjih uporabnikov, ki se nanašajo na oralno zdravje. V prispevku so predstavljeni materiali in metode obstoječega nabora podatkov v zobozdravstveni dejavnosti. Prikaz podatkov v tem poročilu je le dokumentiran vpogled v stanje zobozdravstvenega osebja, obiskov in dela zobozdravstvenega varstva v Sloveniji skozi daljše časovno obdobje, kljub temu pa omogoča analizo segmenta zobozdravstvene dejavnosti, ki je v prispevku predstavljena za obdobje od leta 1980 do 1994. Za poglobljeno analizo zobozdravstvene dejavnosti pa bo potrebno izvesti posebej pripravljene vzorčne ankete, ki omogočajo kvalitetnejši vpogled v delo zobozdravstvene dejavnosti.
