Abstrakt     The purpose of this study was to evaluate the ovarian response to 14 days of GmRHa application in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) by measuring hemodynamic parameters and hormonal profile. In the first group 20 patients with PCOS were studied and in the control group 22 patients with normal menstrual cycles (NMC). Vascular impedance in utero-ovarian artieries was measured on day 4 and 13 of the cycle, on day 22 (introduction of GmRHa administration) and after 14 days of GnRHa administration. At the same time the serum level of LH and androstendione were analysed. Serum levels of androstendione were significantly higher in the PCOS group through the whole cycle, while there were no changes regarding vascular impedance in the uterovarian blood. Vascular impedance in the utero-ovarian blood flow and serum level of androstendione in the PCOS group were not affected by the 14-days of GnRHa administration.
