Abstrakt		Background. Adenoid cystic carcinoma of the breast is a rare form of breast cancer which has well characterized morphological features and excellent prognosis in comparison with other forms of breast cancer. Methods. Two cases of adenoid cystic carcinoma of the breast with its cytologic, hystologic and mammographic features are presented, where the diagnosis was first established on fine needle aspiration biopsy. Conclusions. With regard to benign ultrasound and mammographic appearance of adenoid cystic carcinoma of the breast, aspiration cytology should be performed in each patients with breast lump.
Izvleček		Izhodišča. Adenoidnocistični karcinom dojke je izjemno redka oblika karcinoma dojke, ki ima jasne morfološke značilnosti in odlično prognozo v primerjavi z drugimi oblikami karcinoma dojke. Metode. V prispevku opisujemo citološke, histološke in mamografske značilnosti adenoidnocističnega karcinoma dojke pri dveh bolnicah, kjer smo diagnozo postavili na osnovi aspiracijske citologije. Zaključki. Glede na benigen ultrazvočni in mamografski izgled tega tumorja ugotavljamo, da je v diagnostiki tumorjev dojke poleg ultrazvoka in mamografije potrebna tudi aspiracijska biopsija in citološko preverjanje procesa.
