Abstrakt     There are no special internal rules at the institute as to how expert work should be carried out, however, a 6 point form for expert opinions has been adopted throughout recent decades. Although the Law on Criminal procedure does not foresee different levels of expert opinions, such tendencies are present in Slovene practice, where the appropriate faculty opinion is regarded as the highest opinion. We believe that expert opinions should be handled in levels, just as in judicial practice, which we especially emphasise. We believe that in the future the number of expert opinions will rise significantly due to changes in the insurance system and under the influence of western legislation. The Institute of Forensic Medicine has no special internal rules on expert work, since every single case can be directly discussed at an expert collegium where the most appropriate content and form of work (individual expert work, several experts, opinion of all experts of the institute) can be decided upon. The content of an expert opinion is dictated by the established formal outline of drawing up an expert opinion (J. Milčinski), which is in the following order:
Deskriptorji     EXPERT TESTIMONY
