Abstrakt		An ophthalmologist often encounters the consequences of eye injuries. Sight, as one of the most important senses in humans, is of prime importance for life and work. Any eye injury and its consequences signify a reduction in general and working abilities. Good eyesight is required and defined by standards for almost any occupation. Therefore even the slightest changes caused by an injury or illness have consequences in social, legal and insurance claims and procedures.
